Despite all the debate about the economic crisis and possible remedies, there has been almost talk about the overriding issue; the transformation of our economy from unsustainable growth to sustainable growth. There are many possible effective solutions that are being overlooked.

Why do the rich keep acting like they are hoarding money to stockpile as if the worst times are yet to come? If the rich are so smart, then why doesn’t someone simply buy Iceland? Turn it into a geothermal haven for energy to be sold all over the world? Rebuild their economy, and make millions more dollars?
The rich are acting as if they are going to be the only ones who survive this crisis… as if their money will somehow see them through this, acting as if having money is the new Eugenics program of the 21st century.
What they are forgetting, is that money is simply paper… and that their paper will be worthless once their grand plan to be uncongenial, and uncooperative until the poor die off comes to fruition. By then, it will be way, way too late.
They forget that their monetary base – is the poor.
