Inside every addict – whether it’s drugs, alcohol, work, porn, sex,
There IS a thread of love.
It’s the love that brings people together
it’s the love that creates children
it’s the love that gives life it’s meaning.
That love is SO powerful.
This love battles with addiction constantly and eventually the addict has to make a choice
the crazy thing is that…
the addict must chose to love THEMSELVES.
They have to get to the point of understanding that they are hurting themselves
more than they are hurting those they love.
You can nag them, condemn them, force responsibility on them
but it will not work until they understand that
God loves them EXACTLY where they are,
as useless and miserable as they are,
God loves THEM.
We do not have the power to change others
but God DOES
so turn it completely over to Him and let go.
